We are going to London to visit The Queen

A COLLECTION of woollen storybook characters, created by a knitting group in South Tyneside, is to be given the Royal seal of approval. Dozens of people, who collectively formed the Materialistics, were involved with creating the Once Upon a Time exhibition at the Customs House in South Shields, earlier this year. Now the work, which highlights tales including the Jungle Book and The Hobbit, will be taking its place at a special Diamond Jubilee show to be viewed by the Queen. Their work will be displayed at the London Pride Event alongside displays by Tate Britain, The Design Museum and the London Transport Museum.
